Weekly Letter: Learning to Love

Just this past week I was faced with the challenge of forgiving my friend. He had hurt my feelings, and embarrassed me all at the same time. During class this past week my good friend had made a remark on how I looked stupid, trying to get a rise from his peers. At the time I looked straight into his eyes and wanted to plunge my fist directly into his nose, even though he had apologized shortly after. The whole week turned into an awkward mess and I still glared at him because of how mad he had made me. He was persistent in apologizing and tried to create conversation to make the situation better, but I could not let go of my grudge. Finally, I realized that nothing good would ever come from the heavy grudge I held and it ultimately was affecting me more than him . I saw that he had made a mistake (which happens to the best of us) and I forgave him for the remarks he had made.

  1. Hey coleman it's your big brother/twin Ricky!
I found this post very interesting, especially because I myself have a hard time forgiving people even though i really should because we are all human and make mistakes. Keep approaching life with sensitivity and kindness and i promise that you will create some fantastic friendships that will impact your life in so many different ways! Good luck boy,
