The Antihero: Flossless Fred

My character's name is Flossless Fred. Fred is really just a normal guy who lives a life of an accountant and has a family of three, his wife and two kids. Although seemingly normal, there is a side of him that most people can't see but rather smell. Fred has never flossed his teeth since the day he was born, making his breath wreak of a terrible smell that drives people away.

Today was the day of Fred's dreaded dentist visit. He hated the dentist, it was a place that cleaned and flossed peoples teeth. He had never visited, but complaints from his wife made him go. As Fred entered the dentist. He immediately saw Doctor Drill. Dr. Drill was an evil man who had lied to all the people in the city to claim they had cavities and therefore get all their money. Flossless Fred knew he had to get rid of Dr. Drill so he would stop stealing the peoples money. "Fred," his name was called to sit in the patients chair and wait for Dr. Drill. As Fred waited he thought of a heroic plan that could save the people from this evil villain. When Dr. Drill entered the room Fred asked for him to check his teeth. Just as Dr. Drill got close to his face, Flossless Fred breathed heavily into Drills face, which brought him to his knees and choked him to death. Fred was victorious and gladly gave back the money the people deserved.

THE END!

Playing in the Mud

This spring break I traveled to my grandparents in the most southern town in Utah called St. George. At my grandparents house they have a huge dirt pile and all the little grandchildren leave the hose on to make a huge mud pile. This time around I decided to have fun in the mud and become a kid again. I got beyond dirty but I didn't care because I had so much fun with all my cousins. As I had so much fun, I reflected on how great being a kid was. I wish I could stay young forever but realize life can go by with a blink of an eye

Baptizing My Cousin

Not many know that I am a Mormon. I live a whole new life than those in high school. I don't use vulgar language, I don't drink or do drugs, and I live modestly. In our religion as well we believe that at the age of eight, one is responsible enough to be baptized. This past weekend I was lucky enough to have the authority to baptize my little eight year old cousin. This experience helped me grow stronger with my religion and bless my loved ones. I am so grateful for this experience and so glad that my cousin would even think of me.

Talking With Grandpa

I love my grandpa, he is a hard worker, a strong willed soul, and an amazing man. Being able to talk to him this past break has given me insight on his childhood and more perception on just how different my childhood has been. He grew up in a large family on a farm in the middle of Idaho, life for him consisted of working on the farm, caring for the animals, and obeying his strict parents. For me I have lived in one of the largest city's in the world, I have only two sisters, and I work in school rather than the farm. The differences can go on, but no matter what I love my grandpa.
