The Relationship between Humans and Nature

Humans are apart of nature and depend much on the healthy ecosystems for our chance at survival. But little do we know, is that our chance of survival is slowly diminishing. As inhabitants on this earth we don't realize the damage we have done to our fragile ecosystems. Many animals and plants have become extinct due to our selfishness and now they may be forever gone. We must realize what we have done, and what we must do, to keep our earth alive as well as our children. So, I would imagine earth doesn't like us much, therefore there is hardly much of a relationship at all. All we have to do is become earth's best friend.

Weekly Letter: Learning to Love

Just this past week I was faced with the challenge of forgiving my friend. He had hurt my feelings, and embarrassed me all at the same time. During class this past week my good friend had made a remark on how I looked stupid, trying to get a rise from his peers. At the time I looked straight into his eyes and wanted to plunge my fist directly into his nose, even though he had apologized shortly after. The whole week turned into an awkward mess and I still glared at him because of how mad he had made me. He was persistent in apologizing and tried to create conversation to make the situation better, but I could not let go of my grudge. Finally, I realized that nothing good would ever come from the heavy grudge I held and it ultimately was affecting me more than him . I saw that he had made a mistake (which happens to the best of us) and I forgave him for the remarks he had made.
